Trimaran Merihobus

Manufacturer: UGEARS Mechanical models
Carried by the capricious winds of adventure, the graceful and elegant Ugears Merihobus trimaran invites you to leave your quiet harbor and set sail on an exciting mechanical maritime journey.
This new mechanical display model kit is designed to showcase a wealth of details — such as winches, rigging and hulls — making it a highly realistic miniature replica of actual prototypes. The kit includes everything needed for assembly (including winches, rigging and hulls) and requires neither glue nor special tools to be fully assembled into a classic, functional sailing multihull.
The vessel’s body features a skeletal design that ensures a clear view of the mechanism, including details like bulkheads, frames and beams. The rear rudder is controlled by lines connected to the stern wheel via the pontoons. Stabilizing fins on the sides of the pontoons ensure structural stability and safety, creating a visual lift effect for the model. The side pontoons are attached to the main hull by a load-bearing frame designed to complement the style of the hulls. The model also features mechanical lifeboat cranes equipped with winches.
The trimaran comes with various flag templates. Create your own design and hoist your colors using the winch. The anchor winch, installed inside the trimaran’s hull, features an automatic tensioning mechanism to raise the anchor. Ugears designers used strong yet fine white thread for the Merihobus‘s rigging. This ensures the boat’s structure remains clean and lightweight despite its intricate detailing, while keeping the mast and other elements correctly positioned. And, of course, there is a delightful finishing touch: a small seahorse — the curious marine creature known as the merihobus, which gave the boat its name — engraved on the bow.
Like all Ugears models, the trimaran is assembled entirely using interlocking parts — no glue required — and the assembly process is guided by detailed, step-by-step color instructions.
