Split Rock Lighthouse

The Ugears Split Rock Lighthouse model is a stunning DIY wooden replica of the iconic Minnesota lighthouse, featuring an octagonal tower and an attached keeper’s house. With its warm LED light — powered by a USB-C port or three AA batteries — the model doubles as a functional nightlight for the home, office or a child’s bedroom. The charging port and an on/off switch are located on the side of the quaint house, near the base. Batteries can be easily replaced via the compartment underneath the model, while the LED light is easily accessible for replacement by twisting and removing the tower’s dome.

Crafted from high-quality 3mm composite wood, the model measures 19,8x24x11,6 cm — the perfect size for a nightstand. Both the keeper’s house and the tower feature windows, while the house boasts a chimney and a stepped entrance. Laser-etched details on the exterior surfaces replicate the look of stone and brickwork. In addition to the removable, rotating dome, the keeper’s house features a door that opens and closes using a rubber-band mechanism and windows with shutters that swing when tilted.

The Split Rock Lighthouse is an intermediate-level DIY model comprising 295 pieces, requiring over 6 hours to assemble. The kit includes natural composite wood parts on laser-cut sheets, electrical components, a LED light and sandpaper and wax for smoothing and lubricating the pieces. You won’t need glue or special tools to assemble your Split Rock Lighthouse: simply pop the pieces out of the boards and slot them together by following the step-by-step illustrated instructions, available in 11 languages ​​(English, German, Ukrainian, French, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Korean). Make sure the electrical components are working correctly before proceeding with assembly. Once finished, you can sit back and admire your enchanting creation and the warm glow it brings to any room, imagining the life of a lighthouse keeper on a wind-swept cliff along the shores of Lake Superior.
