The Ugears Rescue Hovercraft is an elegant 1:24 scale wooden model of a twin-propeller hovercraft. This DIY wooden model is powered by a spring motor, featuring a winding key located on the craft’s chassis. A Start/Stop switch allows you to wind the motor — requiring ten clockwise turns of the key — and then start the engine; the twin thrust propellers spin and the craft performs graceful, pre-set turns to the right and left over a distance of 3 meters, mimicking the gentle, swaying motion of real hovercraft.

Exceptional realism, ingenious design and attention to detail are the hallmarks of Ugears models. The Rescue Hovercraft features a large air cushion (skirt), a manually operated bow lift fan, laser-engraved stern lift fans, two large motor-driven thrust fans, a rudder, a four-seat cockpit, mounted life rings, built-in bow headlights and searchlights mounted behind the cockpit for night-time rescue operations.

Like all Ugears models, the Rescue Hovercraft is crafted from high-quality composite wood. You can leave the model in its attractive natural wood state or paint it in local police or fire department colors. Assembly is simple: just detach the laser-cut pieces from the boards and slot them together. Each kit comes with a piece of sandpaper and wax to smooth and lubricate moving parts during assembly.
