Ocean Beauty Yacht

This DIY wooden sailing yacht model is a beautiful static display piece featuring two gleaming white paper sails; it comes with a sturdy stand for display on a shelf, mantelpiece or desk. It differs slightly from other Ugears mechanical models in that the yacht has no gears and is not powered by a spring or rubber-band motor; instead, it is designed as an elegant decorative object for the home or office.

This DIY wooden yacht model features a curved mainsail with a pivoting boom and a triangular jib, both attached to a tall mast with spreaders for the port and starboard shrouds. The deck is lined with lifelines and rope railings. Two lifebuoys and an anchor add further touches of realism. At the stern, there is a flagpole for your yacht’s ensign: leave the flag blank, color it or apply a sticker or print of your national flag or favorite yacht club burgee.

This 3D wooden yacht model features a spacious cockpit with twin rotating helm wheels (being a Ugears model, moving parts are a must!) and an open transom designed to drain seawater — whether from a following sea or a large wave washing over the bow and submerging the deck. The open transom also facilitates swimming off the stern or boarding the model dinghy, which is towed behind the yacht on a line (included). The dinghy comes with miniature oars and oarlocks and can accommodate a figurine of your choice (not included). It also includes a surfboard that can be towed for fun or used if you come across a great beach near the shore.

The Ocean Beauty Yacht display yacht comes with a sturdy stand that allows the boat to be easily inserted and removed. To mount the yacht securely for display, simply slide the boat forward so the keel fits into the slot on the stand. To remove the model for a closer look, just slide it backward!
