Subtitle: la città, se volassimo – the city, if we fly

Author: siano r.

Publisher: intramoenia

ISBN: 9788874211685

Lingue: Italiano e Inglese

This is how the city appears through the eyes of a seagull: a tangle of landscapes, squares, neighbourhoods, patches of green and cloisters to admire from up above, marvelling at the sight until it becomes part of us. Photographer Riccardo Siano successfully employes a drone to summon these emotions. But there is more to it and it’s all in the subtitle: “the city, if we fly”. We wanted to highlight the innate amiguity of the beauty we see in these images. Indeed, flying is not only an act of liberation in the air: it is the courage to take political, social and city-planning decisions, with the aim of preserving what lies before our very eyes. The book therefore is not only a collection of unusual stunning photographs, but also a message and a hope.

Where we are

"The sea has no homeland either, and it belongs to all those who stop to listen to it, on this side and on that, where the sun is born and dies".
