To create a picture under water that is both artistic and powerful and tells a story is something to be celebrated. All the pictures in this collection have been celebrated in the past decades by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, the world’s most famous and prestigious event of its kind. They include some of the most exceptional underwater images of animal behaviour ever taken.

The collection represents the work of more than 50 international photographers and decades of diving experience. Accompanied by the stories of how they were taken and the behaviour they revealed, they give us a glimpse into a world few of us would otherwise ever get to see.
