“Great ship disasters” explores some of the famous and not-so-famous disasters that have happened around the world. Different types of collision are discussed, including foundering, piracy and fire. The disaster range from the altercation between the CSS H. L. Hunley and USS Housatonic in 1864 to the tanker Jessica that foundered in the Galapagos Islands in 2001.
