This booklet, which is only intended to help with the identification of members of the family Conidae from French Polynesia, is a complement to the book “Shells of French Polynesia”. To finalize this book the authors had to dive many hours at night and day in the various habitats of the archipelagos. For each species you will find information concerning its distribution in the different archipelagos, a general description including its size, and an estimate of its rarity in French Polynesia. Where appropriate, similar species are compared in a sketch. Whenever possible living animals are figured.
