The Ugears **DIY wooden model of the *Lighthouse of Alexandria*** is largely based on surviving historical records. Since the Lighthouse of Alexandria was dedicated to Zeus, our model is topped with an engraved cutout of the king of the gods clutching a thunderbolt. Railings, towers, a walkway and a dome add architectural interest, featuring **laser engravings **that replicate the look of stone blocks and roof tiles. True to the Ugears style, this static model includes **a moving element: gates** at the front and back of the base that open using knobs.

Crafted from **high-quality 3mm composite wood**, the model also incorporates** electrical components, light bulbs and an acrylic lens**. The back of the base houses a USB-C charging port and a compartment for three AA batteries, while the interior of the lighthouse is illuminated by **two LED lights**: one at the top for the flame behind the lens and another inside the main tower for the lattice structure. Standing **31 cm tall**, the wooden *Lighthouse of Alexandria* model is the perfect size for a bedside table.

The *Lighthouse of Alexandria* is an intermediate-level DIY model comprising **340 parts**, offering **over six hours of engaging assembly**. The kit includes natural composite wood parts on laser-cut panels, electrical components, two LED lights, an acrylic lighthouse lens and **sandpaper and wax** for smoothing and lubricating the pieces. As with all Ugears models, **no glue or special tools are required** to assemble your *Lighthouse of Alexandria*.
